Rahul Gandhi's US Remarks Draw Sharp Criticism from BJP Leaders

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's remarks in the US have sparked controversy, with Union Ministers accusing him of defaming India and its Prime Minister. The BJP alleges Gandhi of supporting anti-national elements, prompting calls for action against him.

Terming Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's US remarks 'irresponsible', Union Minister Kishan Reddy on Wednesday called the Leader of Opposition 'childish' for making statements against India, its constitution, the elections, and the Prime Minister.

Speaking to ANI, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said, "Rahul Gandhi is an irresponsible person with a childish intellect. Even after so many years, he does not understand what our country is."

Reddy pointed out that PM Narendra Modi, during his foreign visits, never spoke about India's internal politics. "PM Modi is making efforts to enhance India's image and attract investment, while Rahul Gandhi, with a childish intellect, defames India, the constitution, elections, and the Prime Minister," Reddy added.

Rahul Gandhi's recent remarks in the US have ignited a major political row, with BJP leaders accusing him of 'defaming India'. Union Minister Giriraj Singh alleged the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha of siding with anti-national forces.

Singh accused Gandhi of supporting Umar Khalid, arrested under UAPA for the 2020 Delhi riots, and Ilhan Omar, a US lawmaker critical of India. He demanded action against Gandhi for 'abusing' the nation on foreign soil.

Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje also criticized Gandhi, emphasizing that he is an opposition leader within Parliament, not against India as a whole. She questioned Gandhi's motives behind defaming India and hinted at a possible conspiracy.

Maharashtra CM Eknath Sindhe condemned Gandhi's repeated defamation of the country and its leaders during his foreign visits. Sindhe labeled Gandhi's remarks as an insult to the constitution, further intensifying the political backlash.

Gandhi has faced massive criticism after making remarks about the BJP, the Sikh community, and reservation policies while addressing the Indian diaspora in the US. During his visit to Dallas on September 8, he also interacted with students and teachers at the University of Texas.
