The Congress, on Wednesday, unveiled its third list of 40 candidates for the Haryana Assembly polls. This list includes Aditya Surjewala, son of party MP Randeep Surjewala, from Kaithal.
This revelation brings the total number of Congress candidates to 81 for the 90-member Haryana Assembly. Speculation is abuzz about potential last-minute alliances with AAP and other smaller political groups, especially as Thursday marks the final day for filing nominations.
The third list also features prominent leaders like former deputy chief minister Chander Mohan from Panchkula and former minister Nirmal Singh from Ambala City. Other notable candidates include Akram Khan from Jagadhri, Balwan Singh Daulatpuria from Fatehabad, and Bharat Singh Beniwal from Ellenabad, among others.
