Political strategist-turned-activist Prashant Kishor alleged on Monday that forces are actively working to obstruct Lt Gen SK Singh, former vice-chief of the Army, from contesting upcoming bypolls as a Jan Suraaj candidate.
During a press conference in Bhabhua, Kishor criticized the BJP for fielding "the son of a baahubali" in Tarari, despite its claims of opposing dynasty politics. The objection against Singh's candidacy revolves around his name not being on the electoral rolls, a situation Kishor decries given Singh's military service and former credentials.
In response to his accusation of administrative bias in favor of the BJP-led NDA, Kishor declined to state explicitly but announced plans to pursue legal action to ensure Singh's candidacy. He expressed dissatisfaction with the BJP's selection against Singh and highlighted the controversies with the RJD's candidate choices.
