India's Defence Exports Soar to Record Heights

India's defence exports have reached an unprecedented Rs 21,000 crore, a significant increase from Rs 2,000 crore a decade ago, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced on Monday. Addressing officers at the Mhow Cantonment's Army War College, Singh set a new target of Rs 50,000 crore in exports by 2029.
Singh highlighted the need to master frontier technologies to tackle evolving warfare challenges, emphasizing the role of military training centers. He stressed modern warfare's unconventional nature, including AI-based and cyber warfare, and underscored India's commitment to self-reliance through 'aatmanirbhar Bharat'.
The minister further credited Indian armed forces for border security and disaster response. During his visit, he paid tribute to soldiers at the Infantry Memorial and attended prayers at Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar temple, reaffirming India's ambition to be a global military and economic powerhouse.
