Senior farmer leader Baldev Singh Sirsa faced a medical emergency on Wednesday as he was rushed to a government hospital in Patiala following cardiac issues encountered at the Khanauri protest site.

The protestors, marking the one-year anniversary of their movement, were concerned as Sirsa, an active participant in the farmer protests, needed immediate attention. This comes as farmers convene for a 'Kisan Mahapanchayat' amid ongoing demands.

Meanwhile, Jagjit Singh Dallewal, leading the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political), continues his hunger strike initiated over demands for guaranteed crop pricing. Despite government talks scheduled with farmer leaders, Dallewal remains steadfast, refusing to end his hunger strike.
