In the wake of a decisive victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP has announced its commitment to address major civic issues, spearheaded by efforts to clean the River Yamuna. Union Minister Harsh Malhotra, on Thursday, emphasized that the work will commence immediately and be completed within designated timeframes.

Malhotra highlighted that the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat health scheme in Delhi is also a key priority. The party aims to tackle the city's mounting garbage problems, striving to achieve significant improvements swiftly. "The condition of Delhi in the last decade has worsened, and swift action is necessary," Malhotra remarked.

The electoral promise of reviving the Yamuna dominated campaigns, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscoring the river's importance to Delhi's identity. The BJP's resurgence in the capital, dethroning AAP with a 48-seat majority out of 70, marks a dramatic political shift, ending AAP's stronghold after 27 years.
