Faisal Patel, son of the esteemed late Congress leader Ahmed Patel, has decided to part ways with the Indian National Congress. Struggling to step into his father's shoes politically, the senior Patel had a significant career that included prestigious positions such as a Rajya Sabha MP and treasurer of the All India Congress Committee.
Faisal Patel's ambitions encountered hurdles when he was not nominated for the Bharuch seat in Gujarat during the recent Lok Sabha elections. Expressing his dissatisfaction on social media platform X, Faisal stated that he will cease political efforts within the party but continues to regard the Congress as his family, acknowledging the journey's hardship.
Although disappointed, Faisal pledges to devote his efforts to public welfare in other ways. Post Ahmed Patel's passing, Faisal aspired to uphold his father's legacy in Bharuch, but met with opposition from the party.
