Saudi Arabia has praised the recent phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, showing enthusiasm for the prospect of hosting a face-to-face meeting between the two leaders.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov noted that organizing such a summit could take several months, potentially situating it in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.
President Trump had previously referred to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as "a fantastic guy" and acknowledged his role in arranging the largest U.S.-Russia prisoner exchange since the Cold War.
