The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has initiated a thorough investigation into the lavish renovations undertaken at the former residence of Arvind Kejriwal, ex-Chief Minister of Delhi. The probe centers on allegations that building norms were disregarded to transform 6 Flagstaff Bungalow into a luxurious estate.

In response to a complaint by BJP leader Vijender Gupta, the CVC requested the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) to examine charges of excessive expenditure on renovations. Gupta claims that government properties were merged unlawfully to facilitate this construction, violating several building regulations.

The CVC, taking serious note of the alleged financial misconduct, forwarded the complaint to the CPWD for a factual inquiry. The commission has assured that any discovered malpractices will be met with appropriate action, ensuring accountability in the use of public funds.
