Chandrabhanu Paswan, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), officially took his place in the Uttar Pradesh assembly following his decisive victory in the Milkipur bypolls. The oath was administered by Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana on Tuesday.
Paswan triumphed in the bypolls with a significant margin, securing over 1.46 lakh votes, outpacing his nearest competitor, Ajit Prasad of the Samajwadi Party, who garnered 84,687 votes.
The House echoed with the slogan 'Jai Shri Ram' raised by BJP members as Paswan completed his oath, highlighting the party's enthusiasm about the electoral victory.
