Unity Urged Amid Manipur Crisis

Manipur Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba has urged the state's MLAs to unify their efforts in restoring peace and establishing a stable government in the northeastern region.

The call for unity comes on the heels of President's rule being imposed on February 13, shortly after the resignation of Chief Minister N Biren Singh, which led to the assembly being suspended.

Sanajaoba highlighted the ongoing hardships faced by people amid the prolonged conflict, stressing that this is not a time for political maneuvering but for concerted efforts to alleviate suffering. He noted that the crisis resulted from failures at both the central and state levels, and emphasized the importance of dialogues over harsh actions.
