In a historic moment for Delhi, Rekha Gupta met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi shortly after becoming the city's new Chief Minister. Gupta, a BJP MLA from Shalimar Bagh, took her oath as the 9th Chief Minister of Delhi in a grand event held at Ramleela Ground.

Sharing a moment from their meeting on social media platform X, Gupta described it as a 'curtsy visit' to the Prime Minister's residence. The meeting marked the beginning of Gupta's leadership under the BJP's vision for the capital.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has returned to power in Delhi after a 26-year hiatus, securing 48 of the 70 Assembly seats in the February elections. Gupta emphasized that under Modi's guidance, the BJP government is committed to transforming Delhi with a focus on public welfare and governance.
