Local BJP MLA Sentenced for 2019 Attack

Mishri Lal Yadav, a BJP MLA from Bihar's Alinagar seat, along with his associate, has been sentenced to three months in jail. The local court found them guilty of assaulting Umesh Mishra in January 2019.

Justice Karunanidhi Prasad Arya mandated the sentence after determining Yadav and Suresh Yadav's involvement in causing injury to Mishra outside his home on January 29, 2019.

Despite the conviction, individuals close to Mishri Lal Yadav have indicated plans to appeal the court's decision.
