BJP's Strategic Assembly Session: Key Decisions and Appointments Unveiled

The Delhi BJP, led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, is gearing up for the assembly session with significant motions, including the election of the assembly speaker and implementation of Ayushman Bharat. LG Saxena's address and the presentation of 14 CAG reports mark other key actions in this session.

The Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is readying its strategies ahead of the assembly session set to begin on February 24. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, alongside her cabinet and party MLAs, will spearhead a meeting to discuss key motions, including the elevation of BJP MLA Vijender Gupta as the assembly speaker, backed by MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa.

Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has appointed BJP's Arvinder Singh Lovely as protem speaker. The assembly will see the election of the speaker at 2 PM, post an oath ceremony for new MLAs at 11 AM. Continuing the proceedings, LG Saxena will address the assembly on February 25, paving the way for the motion of thanks and tabling of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports, followed by the Deputy Speaker's election on February 26.

Freshly inaugurated Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, in her initial cabinet meeting, made pivotal announcements. Aiming to implement Ayushman Bharat with a Rs 5 lakh top-up, fulfilling BJP's pre-poll promise, Gupta also emphasized tabling 14 deferred CAG reports, previously unaddressed by the AAP government. Gupta assured the completion of all commitments through strategic agreements with the Centre.
