Expelled AIADMK leader O Panneerselvam, on Tuesday, criticized his former colleague Edappadi K Palaniswami, emphasizing that hypocrisy cannot triumph. Panneerselvam evoked his loyalty to former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who likened him to Bharata, Lord Ram's brother, for his dedication to the AIADMK and her leadership.

Panneerselvam's remarks come after AIADMK general secretary Palaniswami labeled him as a 'traitor' and opposed his reintegration into the party. In a statement coinciding with Jayalalithaa's birth anniversary, Panneerselvam emphasized the need for unified leadership, warning that arrogance could lead to the party's decline.

Predicting a political shift by 2026, Panneerselvam reiterated his loyalty to Jayalalithaa, citing her praise for his service. He highlighted the current leadership's shortcomings and warned of inevitable downfall if divisive elements persist within the AIADMK.
