The son of veteran SP leader Azam Khan, Abdullah Azam Khan is a former MLA from the Suar constituency in Rampur. His release followed a legal battle involving over 45 cases, including one filed in 2020 regarding enemy property, all of which he secured bail for.

His lawyer, Satnam Singh Nattu, expressed thanks to higher powers for Abdullah's release, while SP leader Ruchi Veera reiterated faith in the judiciary, reflecting on the delay in processing his release documents despite the court's order six days prior. Meanwhile, Azam Khan Sr. remains in Sitapur jail facing multiple charges.
