Parvesh Verma officially assumed the role of Public Works Department (PWD) minister in Delhi on Tuesday, pledging to treat the city's residents as his own family members. This marks a significant appointment for the new BJP government in the capital.
Verma, who recently defeated AAP leader and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi constituency, also holds several important portfolios, including Legislative Affairs, Irrigation & Flood Control, Water, and Gurudwara Elections.
In a social media post, Verma expressed gratitude for the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing the BJP's mission to transform Delhi into a developed state through dedicated governance and service, particularly for the economically disadvantaged.
