On Thursday, Telangana will witness a high-stakes election battle for three seats in the state Legislative Council. The electorates in Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates' and Teachers' constituencies and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Teachers' constituency will cast their votes.
The BJP has aggressively campaigned across all three seats, albeit in different numbers of candidates, while the ruling Congress is vying for just the Graduates' constituency. In contrast, BRS has opted out.
The election will use a preferential voting system, and top leaders from both BJP and Congress have been actively canvassing to secure a win. The counting is slated for March 3, promising a close contest.
