Voting has commenced for the MLC elections across three constituencies in Andhra Pradesh, including graduate constituencies in East and West Godavari, Krishna, and Guntur districts, alongside a teacher constituency in Srikakulam.

Polling opened at 8 am and will conclude by 4 pm, with over 6.62 lakh electors turning out for the graduate elections and 22,493 for the teacher election. The state’s Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, planned to vote in Guntur, with tight security deployed at 1,062 polling stations.

A pool of 70 candidates are contesting, including TDP's A Rajendra Prasad and PDF's K S Lakshman Rao. Noticeably, the YSRCP has opted out of these polls. Results will be counted by March 3.
