The Enforcement Directorate's recent raids at the residence of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel have stirred political controversy. Congress MP Imraan Masood accuses the BJP of using ED as an instrument of disruption, attributing the action to Baghel's efforts to instigate change in Punjab.
As the Parliament Budget session unfolds, Congress representatives like Pramod Tiwari raise concerns over the role of federal agencies, alleging they function as BJP extensions. Tiwari insists the raids target Baghel due to his strategic role in Congress, lacking any concrete charges.
Congress MP Manickam Tagore fiercely criticized the ED's conduct, likening it to a tool wielded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Tagore asserted Baghel's integrity and accused the BJP of concocting narratives against Congress stalwarts, while Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao defended the raids, citing existing allegations against Baghel.
