White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett expressed optimism about resolving trade policy uncertainties by next month, despite predictions of a negative GDP in the first quarter. Speaking to CNBC, Hassett highlighted the positive impact of tariffs and expected benefits from tax cuts on the U.S. economy.

Hassett cited Trump's tariffs on Canada, China, and Mexico as catalysts for bringing manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. He acknowledged fluctuations in economic data but attributed them to timing effects and election-related investment slowdowns, emphasizing a strong economic outlook moving forward.

Economists, however, warned of increased recession risks for the U.S., Canada, and Mexico amid chaotic tariff implementations. Hassett dismissed concerns over consumer impact, asserting that rising real wages and manufacturing employment would compensate for any tariff-driven price changes.
