President Tayyip Erdogan declared on Wednesday that Turkey views Ukraine's acceptance of a 30-day ceasefire with Russia as a positive step, following discussions with U.S. officials earlier this week. Erdogan expressed hope that Russia would reciprocate and embrace peace efforts.
During a press conference in Ankara with Polish Prime Minister Donald Turk, Erdogan reiterated Turkey's offer to host upcoming negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow, contingent upon the ceasefire allowing both parties to return to the discussion table.
Erdogan's comments reflect an ongoing commitment by Turkey to facilitate peace talks and serve as a mediator in the conflict, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic solutions in international relations.
