Controversy Erupts Over Healthcare Disparities in Moga

During the state Assembly's budget session, AAP MLA Devinderjeet Singh Laddi Dhose criticized the Punjab government's inadequate healthcare provisions for Moga district, describing it as 'step-motherly' treatment. His comments highlighted significant disparities in healthcare resource allocation compared to other districts, sparking debate over government priorities.

During the budget session in the state Assembly, AAP MLA Devinderjeet Singh Laddi Dhose voiced concerns over perceived inequitable healthcare resource allocation in Moga district, likening the situation to 'living in Pakistan.'

Dhose specifically highlighted the absence of plans to upgrade the Dharamkot PHC to a sub-divisional hospital and criticized the overall lack of health facilities compared to other areas within Punjab. Despite receiving responses from Punjab Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh, Dhose pressed for explanations on why Moga was seemingly sidelined in recent healthcare projects.

Given the district's need for healthcare improvements, Dhose's outburst emphasized the pressing issue of healthcare accessibility in rural Punjab, bringing to light the state's approach in addressing health infrastructure and personnel distribution.
