The home of Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Lal Suman came under attack by members of Karni Sena on Wednesday, following his controversial comments in Parliament regarding historical figure Rana Sanga. The attack, which occurred in the upscale Hariparvat Chauraha area, resulted in damage to parked vehicles and broken windows.
Videos from the scene showed limited police presence as the group wreaked havoc. The MP's son, Ranjit Suman, cited previous threats made on social media, accusing the authorities of inaction despite being alerted.
Karni Sena's leader, Suraj Pal Singh Amu, demanded an apology from Suman and called for peaceful protests, while acknowledging the violent actions taken by his supporters.
