Samil Volvoikar, the joint convenor of the Trinamool Congress's Goa unit, has resigned, citing ethical concerns regarding directives to target leaders of the INDIA bloc, including Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.

Despite being part of the INDIA alliance, formed as a political alternative to the BJP, Volvoikar objected to attacking opposition figures. His attempts to maintain focus on defeating the BJP were unsuccessful.

Addressing a press conference, Volvoikar disclosed his discomfort with the party's internal strategies, pushing him to distance himself. His decision underscores challenges within the TMC as it navigates alliances ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
