Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the Indian armed forces' 'Operation Sindoor', which targeted terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The missile strikes were a response to a terror attack killing 26 in Pahalgam, targeting key locations in Bahawalpur and Muridke.

Taking to social media platform 'X', Sarma celebrated the Indian military's successful strike with a graphic poster and emphasized the pride and honor brought by the Indian Army, showcasing a video of fighter jets and air force staff in action.

The strikes, believed to be a powerful response to the Pahalgam terror attack, targeted nine identified sites and resulted in significant disruption of terrorist bases, reaffirming India's resolute stance against terrorism.
