Russia has reportedly maintained a neutral stance regarding a ceasefire in Ukraine, contradicting assertions from U.S. officials. According to Russian state news outlets, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova addressed allegations against Russian President Vladimir Putin with visible surprise.
Zakharova attributed the stalemate to Kyiv, which she accused of breaching agreements and showing reluctance in negotiating a comprehensive ceasefire. This statement comes in response to U.S. envoy Keith Kellogg's comments on alleged Russian obstruction.
Emphasizing the complexity of achieving peace, Zakharova stressed that a ceasefire along the extensive front line involves numerous intricate details requiring resolution.
