US Lawmakers Endorse India's Firm Stand Against Terrorism Amid Rising Indo-Pak Tensions
Senator Jim Risch supports India's response to the Pahalgam attackers while urging caution amid growing India-Pakistan tensions. Congressman Shri Thanedar also backs India, emphasizing US-India cooperation against terrorism. India's 'Operation Sindoor' targets Jaish-e-Mohammad infrastructure in response to the deadly April 22 attack.

Chairman of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Jim Risch, has expressed support for India's response to the Pahalgam attack but has also voiced concern over the heightening tensions between India and Pakistan. This follows India's military strikes on terror hubs in Pakistan and PoK.
In a recent message on X, Risch stated the growing tensions are worrying, while supporting India's pursuit of justice against the Pahalgam attackers. He emphasized the need for caution and protection of civilians on both sides. Congressman Shri Thanedar echoed this sentiment, asserting India's right to self-defense.
Thanedar emphasized intolerance of terrorism and called for increased US-India collaboration to counter shared threats, safeguard innocent lives, and uphold democracy, human rights, and religious freedoms. Following India's 'Operation Sindoor,' Pakistan's military has been authorized to retaliate at its discretion, adding to the regional tensions.
