In a recent call, Brazilian President Lula de Silva extended his heartfelt condolences to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in significant loss of life.
The conversation, reported by the Ministry of External Affairs, centered not only on condolences but also on strengthening the bilateral ties between Brazil and India. President Lula affirmed Brazil's support and emphasized solidarity with India in its ongoing battle against terrorism.
Additionally, both leaders revisited their strategic partnership goals and discussed Brazil's current presidency of BRICS. Prime Minister Modi offered his best wishes to Brazil in its leadership role within the organization, originally comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and later joined by South Africa.
