The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, has spotlighted preparations for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela, underscoring its international importance. In a recent meeting, Yadav emphasized the need for comprehensive planning and improved facilities to cater to the anticipated influx of visitors during this major religious gathering.

In highlighting the significance of Simhastha Kumbh, Yadav stated that the event transcends state boundaries, holding global cultural and religious value. He revealed ongoing efforts to boost religious tourism in the Malwa region, with initiatives already in place to enhance the event's infrastructure.

Scheduled for 2028, the Simhastha Mela is expected to transform Ujjain into a religious hub akin to Haridwar. With strategic plans to elevate Ujjain's religious standing, Yadav announced intentions to ensure the clean flow of the Kshipra river, promoting it as a holy site for sacred dips, similar to the Ganges.
