During a press release on Friday, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president YS Sharmila pressed PM Narendra Modi for action on promises made during the state's bifurcation. She raised concerns over commitments like granting special category status and questioned the PM's dedication to these issues.

Sharmila highlighted perceived failures, including the reduced height of the Polavaram Project and alleged privatization moves targeting the Vizag Steel Plant. She claimed a lack of change regarding VSP, noting the dismissal of 4,000 workers.

Warning of a financial quagmire over the new capital Amaravati, she accused Naidu and Kalyan of backing Modi despite alleged betrayals. Sharmila also criticized YSRCP's YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as purportedly benefiting from Modi's support.
