Sangh Parivar's Role in Restoring Democracy Commemorated on Emergency's 50th Anniversary

The ruling BJP observed the anniversary as 'Samvidhan Hatya Diwas,' commemorating the struggle during the 21-month period when civil liberties were suspended and press freedom was suppressed under then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's regime.
