Senior TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee delivered a blistering criticism of the BJP on Tuesday, accusing it of being "anti-national" due to its alleged politicization of Operation Sindoor and inaction on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Banerjee, a Lok Sabha MP, forecasted that the BJP would win fewer than 50 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections, a significant drop from the 77 seats secured in 2021. The TMC's national general secretary, Banerjee highlighted his role in parliamentary delegations sent abroad to advocate for India's position post-Operation Sindoor.

While speaking at the launch of 'Nishobdo Biplob', Banerjee criticized the BJP for prioritizing politics over national interest, particularly concerning internal security and sensitive issues like PoK. He challenged BJP MPs to debate on development achievements, showcasing the Diamond Harbour model's successes.
