During a phone call with President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed Moscow's commitment to a negotiated end to the Ukraine conflict while asserting its original goals, according to Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov.

Putin also updated Trump on recent agreements with Ukraine on prisoner exchanges and expressed readiness to continue negotiations with Kyiv. However, he emphasized that Russia will not deviate from its strategic objectives.

The conversation covered other topics, including Iran, but did not discuss the U.S. suspension of some arms to Ukraine. Moscow condemned recent U.S. military action in Iran as unjustified. Trump's administration expressed ongoing frustration at the lack of progress in ending the Ukraine war.
