In a sharp rebuke, Home Minister Amit Shah criticized Congress on Monday for distrusting External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's statement about Operation Sindoor, instead choosing to believe assertions made by US President Donald Trump.
During a Lok Sabha session, Shah emphasized the importance of trusting Indian ministers who have taken oaths as members of the Indian government. He challenged the opposition's apparent reliance on foreign opinions, which he suggested should not influence parliamentary proceedings.
Operation Sindoor's discussions took an intense turn as Congress leveraged Trump's claims that the US mediated tensions between India and Pakistan. However, both Shah and Jaishankar have dismissed such suggestions, reiterating India's denial of any trade linkages in the military context.
