Assam CM Accuses MP Gogoi of Alleged Pakistani Ties Amidst Parliament Feud

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma accused Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi of acting on behalf of Pakistan, following Gogoi's Parliament speech criticizing Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Sarma cited Gogoi's alleged foreign ties and his family’s citizenship status as reasons for his claims, amidst a heated political exchange.

In a controversial statement, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma accused Congress Member of Parliament Gaurav Gogoi of aligning with Pakistan following a recent speech in Parliament that criticized the defense establishment.

Sarma further alleged that Gogoi, whose wife and children hold foreign citizenships, could leave India at any moment, raising questions about his loyalty to the country.

Gogoi, in a parliamentary debate on Operation Sindoor, challenged Defense Minister Rajnath Singh's silence on security lapses, which Sarma interpreted as an endeavor to undermine national pride.
