Tensions soared in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday when a heated exchange erupted between Leader of the House JP Nadda and Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge during discussions on Operation Sindoor. The debate intensified after Kharge concluded his speech, sharply criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a fiery response, Nadda accused Kharge of "losing his mental balance," prompting uproar from opposition members, who demanded an apology. Nadda subsequently apologized, and Chairman Ghanshyam Tiwari announced that Nadda's comments would be expunged from the record.
In the midst of the verbal fracas, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commended the Indian Army and security forces for their precise execution of Operation Sindoor. He highlighted the strategic targeting of terrorist hideouts, emphasizing the zero-tolerance policy on terrorism, while ensuring no harm to civilians in Pakistan.
