During a Lok Sabha discussion on 'Operation Sindoor,' Gandhi stated that Modi's government lacked the political will necessary for military actions. He expressed concerns over revealing details of the operation to Pakistan and criticized the alleged restrictions on India's armed forces during the operation.

Gandhi further accused Modi of failing to acknowledge China's involvement with Pakistan and urged the government to assertively defend India's military operations. He drew parallels with Indira Gandhi's decisive leadership during the 1971 conflict and demanded that Modi demonstrate similar resolve.
