The late former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Shibu Soren, known as 'Guruji', will have his mortal remains transported to Ranchi from Delhi at around 5.30 pm on Monday. This was confirmed by a leader from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).
Following a tribute at his residence, the body will proceed to Nemra in Ramgarh district on Tuesday for the last rites. Supriyo Bhattacharya, a JMM general secretary, expressed the profound loss felt by the party, particularly by Jharkhand's tribal and marginalized communities. Bhattacharya also praised Soren's lifelong fight for education and dignity against exploitation.
While workers offered silent tributes at the JMM headquarters, the party flag flew at half-mast. Discussions highlighted Soren's vital role in Jharkhand's formation and his battles against exploitative money-lenders.
