Nation Mourns the Loss of Shibu Soren: A Tribal Leader's Legacy
President Droupadi Murmu and other prominent leaders visited Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to pay their last respects to Jharkhand Mukti Morcha founder Shibu Soren. Soren, who passed away at 81, was known for his dedication to empowering tribal communities. His body will be taken to Ranchi for final rites.

President Droupadi Murmu visited Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to pay her last respects to the esteemed Jharkhand Mukti Morcha founder, Shibu Soren, who passed away on Monday morning.
Shibu Soren, aged 81, had been battling a kidney-related ailment since June 19. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid homage to the late leader, commending his lifelong dedication to empowering tribal communities and uplifting the poor and marginalized. Other notable figures, including the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, followed suit in offering their tributes to Soren at the Delhi hospital.
The body's journey to its final resting place will begin around 4 pm today, as Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari confirmed its transport to Soren's residence in Morabadi, Ranchi.
