In a stirring address on Monday, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav accused the Election Commission of facilitating biased voter deletions that undermine the electoral support from backward communities, primarily benefiting the BJP.
Speaking at the Parliament complex, Yadav charged that communities like the Maurya, Pal, Bhagel, and Rathore have seen voter deletions aimed at weakening their political impact. He pointed to narrow losses in certain constituencies linked to these deletions, alleging they are strategically executed.
Yadav criticized the caste-based deployment of election officials and demanded strict action against those neglecting voter roll integrity, arguing that voter list manipulations continue under BJP's influence in Uttar Pradesh.
