In a move to solidify bilateral defense cooperation, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri of India handed over essential military supplies to Nepal's Army Chief, Gen. Ashok Raj Sigdel, on Monday. This generous donation includes light strike vehicles, critical care medical equipment, and military animals, marking a significant enhancement in defense ties.

Misri's two-day visit began on Sunday, emphasizing India's commitment to its Nepalese allies. Arriving at the invitation of Nepalese Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, his mission underscores a deep-seated relationship between the two neighboring countries.

During his visit, Misri met with Nepal's top leadership to discuss strengthening bilateral relations across various sectors. Furthermore, Misri delivered a written invitation from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Nepalese PM K P Sharma Oli, setting the stage for a proposed diplomatic visit to India. His quick turnaround sees him returning to India later today.
