In a sharp denunciation, expelled RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav targeted Congress' 'Voter Adhikar Yatra,' accusing it of involving violence against an MLA's driver and a media journalist in Nabinagar, Bihar's Aurangabad district. Yadav called out the alleged assault on social media, criticizing Rahul Gandhi and his brother Tejashwi Yadav.
Expressing his disapproval, Tej Pratap questioned whether the campaign was genuinely intended to preserve democracy or to dismantle it. He termed the incident ‘extremely wrong and shameful,’ urging Tejashwi to be wary of his associates, hinting at potential electoral repercussions.
The criticism came amid Rahul Gandhi's visit to the Dev Surya Temple during the Yatra's second day, which concluded with a rally in Gayaji. The 16-day 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' protests against alleged voter list irregularities in Bihar, covering over 1,300 km and scheduled to end in Patna on September 1.
