In a political scenario heating up, Congress MP Mallu Ravi emphasized on Tuesday that the opposition is not against Maharashtra Governor and NDA Vice Presidential candidate CP Radhakrishnan personally, but sees the contest as an ideological battle. 'We oppose ideologies, not individuals,' Ravi clarified in a statement to ANI.
The Congress party is rallying support around retired judge B Sudershan Reddy, nominated by the INDIA bloc for the Vice Presidency. Ravi urged regional players like the Telugu Desam Party and YSRCP to back Reddy, citing this election as a crucial fight for secular values.
Reddy, grateful for the nomination, called for Parliament's support in what he describes as a significant ideological confrontation. Despite regional affiliations, Reddy maintains an all-encompassing approach, insisting that nationality transcends geographical divisions in this pivotal election set for September 9.
