Rajeshwar Singh, a retired officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), has been appointed as the State Election Commissioner of Rajasthan. The appointment was confirmed by an official statement on Tuesday.
The appointment order was issued by Governor Hari Bhau Bagde, according to a communique from the Raj Bhavan.
Rajeshwar Singh takes over from Madhukar Gupta, whose term has ended, marking a new chapter in the administration of state elections.
