In a decisive statement, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has clarified that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has no involvement in the party's internal disputes. Palaniswami emphasized during his recent visit to Delhi that their discussions with Shah did not touch upon intra-party matters, honoring a previous assurance from the Minister.
Veteran AIADMK leader K A Sengottaiyan had earlier raised claims of seeking central intervention for unifying party leaders, a statement Palaniswami countered, urging media to cease such narratives. He reiterated Shah's commendation of his state-wide campaigns, refuting any misinterpretation of his actions post-visit as politically charged or defamatory.
Amid debates with opposing parties DMK and AMMK, Palaniswami publicly challenged critiques, including a suggestion from CM M K Stalin, questioning unwanted face-covering allegations. He stood firm against baseless accusations posited by AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran, maintaining transparency about his official itinerary and conduct.
