In a political move that has fueled speculation, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut announced on Monday that Raj Thackeray, leader of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), wishes for the Congress to join the opposition alliance, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).
The comments were made amidst rumors of a potential alliance between Raj and his cousin, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, for the upcoming local elections. Although talks are ongoing, the integration of the MNS into the MVA has yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, a faction of the Congress in Maharashtra has voiced opposition to partnering with the MNS. Scepticism lingers as political figures navigate discussions for a united front, signaling a complex alliance landscape ahead of critical state elections.
