Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has raised alarms over alleged vote manipulation, accusing the Election Commission of India (ECI) of failing to address accountability concerns. She highlighted investigations revealing discrepancies across constituencies, accusing the ECI of non-responsiveness in a series of posts on X.
Chaturvedi referred to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's 'vote chori' demonstration and noted that the Karnataka Special Investigation Team confirmed the existence of fake voters. She emphasized that official enquiries corroborate Gandhi's claims during his recent press conference.
Aaditya Thackeray, a UBT Sena MLA, reinforced Chaturvedi's concerns by presenting anomalies in the Worli constituency voter list, claiming numerous cases of duplicate and fake entries, and questioning the Election Commission's preparedness for the upcoming Brihamumbai Municipal Corporation elections. The ECI announced a Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in several states, culminating with the final voter list publication in February 2026.
