Trump's statement targeted radical Islamists as the perpetrators behind the violence and mass slaughter of Christians in Nigeria. He has demanded action, placing Nigeria, Africa's most populous nation and top oil producer, on a 'Countries of Particular Concern' list for religious freedom violations.
The President has tasked U.S. Representatives Riley Moore and Tom Cole, along with the House Appropriations Committee, to investigate this critical issue and report back to him, highlighting its urgency.
