Shiv Sena leader Shahajibapu Patil criticizes BJP's 'filthy' politics in Maharashtra, warning that such tactics could destroy the state's rich political legacy. In a sharp rebuke, Shiv Sena leader Shahajibapu Patil has accused ally BJP of engaging in 'filthy' politics, claiming that such behavior threatens to undermine Maharashtra's respected political tradition.
Having served as a Shiv Sena MLA from 2019 until 2024, Patil recently lost his seat in the assembly elections for the Sangola constituency. He lamented that local political dynamics have changed, with BJP joining forces with opposition parties like the Congress and NCP supported by the Peasants and Workers Party (PWP), leaving Shiv Sena isolated.
Patil's denunciation coincided with Shiv Sena ministers choosing to boycott a regular cabinet meeting, a move attributed to their disapproval of BJP's induction strategy of Shiv Sena's party members in local bodies across the state.
